About Robert

Robert Gardner graduated from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich in1989 and has been in private practice in Toronto since then. Over the years, he has been very active in the development of the Ontario Association of Jungian Analysts, holding many positions, the latest being Past President. He is also a Founding Member of the Toronto-based Analyst Training Programme which began in 2000, and is currently a training analyst and examiner in this programme.

Born in Australia, he originally trained in Urban and Regional Planning, and worked on projects in Australia, England, New Guinea and Canada. In 1975 he settled with his family and made Toronto his home. An active sportsman for most of his life, his current hobby is woodworking. He is also a long-time jazz fan.

He is married to Dorothy Gardner, herself a Jungian Analyst.
